Existing sentence types can be selected from the upper
listbox. The constituents will then automatically be selected
from the SUBJECT, PREDICATE (and OBJECT) list-edit controls
under (their data element types displayed).
Modifying
subject, predicate (and object) data element types
Use the
radio buttons to select which sentence type constituent to
modify. Note that the data elements types also are listed in the
quick-entry edit control under. You can modify this list and
apply the modified list by pressing the Supplement- or
Replace-button. Non-existing data element types included in
the list will be added to the sentence model (the KB-name is
generated automatically). A pop-up dialog will prompt for
domain.
You can also modify the data element types of a
constituent by using the Add, Remove, Move Up and Move
Down-buttons. Data element types are selected from the
listbutton just right of the Add-button. You can also
look up data element types with the Look up data element-button
and refresh the listbutton with the Refresh data elements-button.
Entering new predicate types and entity types
You can
type in a new predicate type or entity type by modifying a
SUBJECT, PREDICATE (or OBJECT) list-edit control. Data element
types are entered as described above. (KB-names are generated
automatically).
SQL-specific controls:
Three radio buttons show if the currently selected
sentence type is declared as an
export- or import
ST-table. You can use the buttons to make such
declarations, or removing them.
Creating an import- or export table declaration:
- Enter the table name in the edit-field just under the
radio buttons (this is optional for export tables - a
default table name will be used if the field is blank). The
table name can be prefixed with an SQL-database name (e.g.
expdb.exptable). The default ST-table database will
be used if no prefix is used (ref. Directory, file and SQL-database preferences-window).
- Press the desired import/export radio button.
Other
- The List Sentences-button is used to open a table window with all sentences
of the selected sentence type.
- The Browse Sentences-button is used to open a
sentence-window (from which you can browse
forward/backward through sentences of the current type).
- The Delete Sentences-button is used to delete all sentences in the selected sentence type.
