Yamaha Tenere XFZ660 is a 5-walve single, tall Dakar-type work-horse. Its slightly less than 50 hp 660cc engine has enough power to carry two passengers and luggage under any conditions. You can run it perhaps up to 150 km/h, however the sitting position is upright, and the wind force is too strong beyond 130. It is otherwise a very comfortable bike to ride, although too heavy for offroad riding.

I bought my '95 model from Didier Jan in 2000, and has used it all over Luzon Island: commuting through the anarchic strees of Manila, over the roads in the Cordilleras Mountains, along mud-trails across the Candaba swamps and up and down the north and south expressways. I sold it back to Didier when I left the Philippines in March 2006
