To enter/update/delete or look at a sentence rules. The rule realm/chain listbox in the upper part of the window is populated initially with all sentence rule realms (the corresponding radio buttons is set to by Realm). You can change the contents of the listbox by the by Chain radio button. All rule chains will then be listed.

Multi-DB configurations: Rules in external chains are included in the window.

Note that realm-names are prefixed with the database identifier (e.g. A:RULEREALM for the realm RULEREALM in database A).

The lower listbox will be populated with all rules in the realm/chain when a selection is made in the upper listbox.

• The Delete Rules-button is used to delete all rules in the selected realm or chain.

ENTER NEW SENTENCE RULE:

Press the New Rule-button.

CHANGE OR LOOK AT A SENTENCE RULE:

Select a rule and the press View/Edit Rule to open the rule editor. You can also press View/Edit Rule Record if you want to view the rule's record in the KB record window.

DELETE A SENTENCE RULE:

Select a rule and then press the Delete Rule button.

COPY A SENTENCE RULE:

Select a rule and then press the Copy Rule button. You will be prompted for a new realm name and number to be assigned to the new copy.

CHANGE THE RECORD STATUS OF A SENTENCE RULE:

Use the Active and/or Suspended check boxes to specify the desired new record status. Then press the Update Status button.

The Refresh-button is used to refresh the contents of the window.
