The window has the following lay-out:

RECORD HEADER CONTROLS

RECORD PROPER CONCLUSION-PART (PR FORMAT)

RECORD PROPER (STRUCTURED FORMAT) [view only]

RECORD PROPER CONDITION-PART (PR FORMAT)

TRANSLATION BUTTONS

MAIN BUTTONS

RECORD PROPER (TEXT FORMAT)

CONTROLS:

The record header controls display record meta-data. Some, but not all, of the data can be changed.

The "record proper" i.e. the knowledge logic-related contents of the record is shown in both PR-format (conclusion and condition parts separated) as well as in structured (internal) format and in a NL- or XML text format. The PR-format fields and the text field can be updated.

The translation radio buttons shows the actual format of the text format field. When changed, the format of the text field is changed accordingly (NL : NL text, XML/NL : XML NL option and XML/PR : XML PR option). The Translate to IF-button translates from the text field to the PR-format fields (the structured format field is updated as well).

The Update-button updates the record on the basis of the PR-format fields. The Delete-button deletes the record. The View in text editor-button shows the PR, structured internal and text formats in an editor window. The View-button displays the record in an appropriate window i.e. a rule editor window, inexact rule window or sentence window. The button is disabled if there is no appropriate window corresponding to the record.
