Pro/3 needs to know whether your source text files are UNICODE or ANSI. This is specified per file type in Processing Preferences-window in the Preferences-menu.

Using source files which are not formatted according to these settings result in errors which sometimes are difficult to detect. It is recommended to use UNICODE for all source files to minimize the risk of errors. Pro/3 always output in UNICODE.
