Generally,
the pink route
is the best, i.e. using the South Express way to Calamba, then
Star Express way to Lipa and from there the road via Cuenca and Alitagtag to
Bauan and then Mabini and Anilao.
Take the South Expressway all the way to the Calamba exit (right turn) (3). Then follow the road towards Batangas until you reach the entry of the Star Expressway (right turn) (4). Take the Star Expressway to the end i.e. exit at Tambo (Lipa) [you have to exit to the left and cross over the opposite lane down to the toll booth]. Then turn right into the road to Batangas City (5), and then after a few kilometers turn right into the road to Cuenca (6). Drive this road passed Cuenca and Alitagtag until you reach the Lemery-Bauan/Batangas City road. Turn left into this road (7) [avoid driving into Sta. Teresita i.e. turn left when you see the entry to this town]. Drive towards Bauan until you reach the road to Mabini. Turn right into this road (8). Then continue passed the entry to Mabini center (9) [i.e. do not turn left into Mabini center]. Just before you reach Anilao market (10), turn left into the Anilao coastal road where many resorts are located along a 15 kilometer stretch. Tamarind Beach is about 8 kilometer from Anilao market (11). The red routeuses the main road to Batangas City, rather than the Cuenca road.
