To view, add or delete external chains.

Adding external chains

Press the Selected external database button and select the database file with the desired chain(s) from the Open File dialog. All public chains in this DB will be displayed in the left-side listbox. Read-only chains are preceded by R| while read-write chains are preceded by W|.

Select the chains you want to add as external. Check the Write-able check box if the selected chains are to external read-write chains (they will otherwise be read-only. Note that public read-only chains only can be entered as read-only external chains). Press the Add selected external chains button.

Removing external chains

Select one or more chains in right-side listbox. Press Remove selected externals chains button.

 

You have to press Update-button to make any changes effective. Note that you have to close and re-open the KB before the changes in external chains are fully incorporated in the KB. This will always involve re-generation of the index tables.
