To manage publications and subscriptions.

Publications and subscriptions are documented in the p3publications database (there is no documentation/sentences relating to publications and subscriptions in the knowledge base). Note that publications and subscriptions form the basis of knowledge base (KB) clustering.

CONTROLS:

• (Re-)Create p3publications database - (re-)creates the entire p3publications database with its four tables pub_net, publication, subscription, cluster and cluster_member. All existing documentation of publications, subscriptions and KB clustering.
• Open p3publications database - opens the database and retrieves documentation of defined publishing networks (if any).
• Publishing network list-edit lists all defined publishing networks. Normally a KB uses only one network (if any at all). Selection of an existing network will enable the controls required to manage this network's publications and subscriptions.

• Create new publishing network - Press this button after:
  • typing a non-existing network name the Publishing Network list-edit;
  • (optionally) entering a default SQL database associated with this network (i.e. for tables with published sentences);
  • checking whether or not the new network is an open share, and if so, specifying the share's knowledge format and its share table.

• The open share publication and subscription radio buttons are used to set the desired usage of the open share.
